Anybody interested in this jacket? Looked interesting from the pictures and then I checked the link...

Lighting does make a ton of difference. Still not THAT bad looking. But we are talking Aero money at that price and I currently have a Aero disease at the moment.

I received that email alert as well. Looks interesting but judging from the cutting of the jacket, looks like it is one of those very slim shoulder modern cut which may not look too nice unless you have the physique of a young model. And if you looks at the other pictures in their website, the jacket does not look some 'glam' anymore. For $1225, I would probably ask someone like DD or Aero to custom made one for me.

I actually think for OTR jackets Schott has a ton of options and styles and make an amazing jacket. I think they get beat up here too much. Especially now they are using much thicker hides and doing a lot of collaboration with Horween. But again at those prices, you’re like 90% of the way towards paying Aero for a custom made. I wouldn’t want that. But there’s also a reason we’re members of a place like this. I often have to remind myself of that. I see makers like Indian, Harley, Wilson’s and think oh that’s ugly, or that’s really nice but for the price I could get. The have to remember that their customer bases are fashion or casual riders. The people who come here.... we have a disease ha

I like this jacket quite a bit...The thing is I'd always choose Aero or Vanson over something like this UNLESS I could try it on in store and walk out happy. The price is perfectly justifiable, so long as you get the fit you want.

in b4 too expensive because it's not custom made.

Got the mail as well. What I always say. It's Horween, it's a brilliantly designed and it's absolutely beautiful. I'd buy it even at that price.

What a difference lightning can make!! They look like different jackets. If it fit perfectly and its horweeen I’d consider it, if I needed tweaks, I’d go Aero.

I got the same email this morning. Black zips/hardware? No thanks.

Agree the black hardware puts me off.

There currently is a Schott in oxblood Horween horsehide on the bay (uk site at least) and they are asking £600 in new condition for those interested. At that price is tempting but seems very long (27”) for a small. https://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/SCHOTT-CHI...=1[\URL] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Got the email too...not really crazy about it. Looks better when it's not laying flat...the zippers or something. The back looks good but it's not the one piece .......Really don't like black hardware at all..

I don't think either pic shows what's actually there. I mean the prop stylist should be fired. They didn't even make an attempt at shaping the sleeves. If this were worn for 5 minutes and put on a hanger it would look 1000X better. Perfect example of how instagram/social media postings and cultivation can sell something. All of Schott's photography is basic. Painfully so.

Greetings All:
Nail on the head Ton.
I kept going back to both pics to see what i was missing. Just figured i was not experienced enough to know what i was looking at. No doubt a great jacket but for the money i’d expect a money shot. My 2cents
Be well. Bowen

I've been saying it forever and these photos are proof positive. Some makers take the time to show what's actually there and some don't. Schott isn't giving a flying...other makers wouldn't be caught dead posting these photos. Not sure why some simple jacket porn escapes some top tier makers. It does tho. As witnessed.

Totally agree my friend.
Also, on the flip side...an “inferior” product, be it poorer quality materials or lessor quality construction easily can be “glamed” up and become much more appealing. Bad shots...lost revenue...good shots...early retirement. My money deserves more respect. Bowen

Good point. I think the last time we saw a limited edition Schott, the issue was the absolutely atrocious stock photos. They desperately need to put more effort into this. All they are doing is a disservice to their own product.

I rather like the simplicity that the black hardware provides. Makes me think of the knights watch...
