I purchased this a month ago wore it about 5 times lightly to errands and the stitching at the wrist zipper is coming apart...

Should this be a easy repair or should I even not bother with it?

Funilly enough my Schott 644 suffered from exactly the same problem!

Either send it back for repair or if not convenient do it yourself.
Get it done one way or another or it is going to get worst, if the stitch line looses tension up the entire sleeve it will be much more complicated to fix.

I have fixed the exact same problem on mine using needles, thread and pliers.
The trick is tu use a curved/hooked needle and pliers, a bit as if you where trying to stitch skin back (like a Doctor would do it). I make my own curved needle by heating it red hot, bending it with pliers and droping it in water to harden.
I would go through 4 holes in the fashion pictured below, pull it tight, make a small loop, tie a knot.
Then do the same thing with the four holes below it, repeat as needed.

Edit: you might not be bale to do a second loop after tightening the first one, so what i do if i have more than one loop to do is set the thread through the first 4 holes, leave it loose. Feed another thread through 4 more holes, leave it loose.
Once all your threads are set in place, just tighten them and knot them one at a time.

With your repair i would probably try to do 3 loops, one at the place i pointed out. One closer to the edge fold and one with the 4 holes closer to the visible cut edge. That would never allow it to go wrong.

I would probably mess it up if I did it myself idk how this even happened I wore it to the grocery store lol
Then send it back, don't let it get worst, this is currently and easy quick fix, if you let it get worst and reach the rest of the sleeve it then becomes a larger job where you have to unstitch the lining etc.
