Schott 641XX Review

It's just that i have a schott 644, which sizes one up from the 141.

I wear a 44 644, which is the same as a 42 141, i wonder if the 641 sizes like a 644 or a 141...

What i need is the bottom hem, jacket zipped, measured side to side flat across the bottom.

I got measurements from Gail, the 641XX fits different from the 641, but looks like it would fit me well if the bottom is small enough.

My measurements for this 44 are bottom hem 22 inches, shoulder 19.5 inches, pit to pit 23.5 inches, back 25.5. The bottom of the jacket flares slightly like some J100's and the front has a one inch drop longer than the back when zipped and flat, like a half belt. It seems to be different in patterning to a generic modern Schott. I would have preferred a 26.5 inch back but I'm happy I got 19.5 inch shoulders as I need the room. In vintage patterning 18.5 shoulders is more common in this size but that's too tight for me.

What size are you going for? Wanna buy a jacket?

That's bad news, 22" is far to much for me! I was hoping Schott would have tapered the bottom more, this being a japanese market jacket, it seems they haven't.
I already have a Scott 644 and i have had it tapered at the bottom.I was hoping this one would be a good fit right out of the box as all the other measurements are spot on for me.

36 is bigger all over so that's something to keep in mind.

A full size up to 36 would be advisable because the jacket is very snug now and you mention you’ll be bulking up.
