I have always found that the weekends are just too crowded...
I normally like to go for about 2 nights Monday to Wednesday or Tuesday to Thursday.
The more people the better for me. I love to people watch and as long as I can find a seat at the casino bar, I'm one happy camper
Weekends are when you're more likely not to be able to get a seat.
During the week it's not like it's a ghost town but you have a better chance of not being locked out of shows or restaurants or having to wait for a long time to do stuff. The various shopping malls that are part of the casinos are great for people watching. and the evenings are busier than the day stuff during the week.
Las Vegas has some decent antiques shops / malls to visit when you're fed up with casinos and a trip to the Liberace Museum is always a blast from the past.
This time when we go it's for my mom's 60th, so I don't know if I'll be able to get her out to any antique stores, but maybe if I feed her a few more drinks than normal So if you know of any, I'd love to check them out if I get the chance.

The Red Rooster Antiques Mall has some stuff and if you were ever deciding to do an old Las Vegas themed room this was the place for stuff. Check out Google for the big list.
The Attic is supposed to be fun, I have yet to make it there. http://atticvintage.com/
...there is a sky dive outfit near Vegas run by some ex-Special Forces---
a tandem birthday jump?
Thank you John
If you go call first hours change and places can be closed. I have driven to the Antique Mall to find they switch the day they were closed to the day i was there.
Las Vegas was much cooler before the megaresorts began sprouting up.
