Rubber Raincoat

I recently lost out on purchasing this coat. I believe it's late 40's to early 50's.
I've been looking for one for some time. I'm hoping someone may have any specific
information I could use to help my hunt in the future. Like perhaps it was Police issue, military etc. Thanks.

Looks European, maybe French. Ever worn one of these? I have. They're bloody uncomfortable. Stiff and sweat-inducing.

I have a very similar coat that was sold as a replica of German motorcycle dispatch riders coat from the 1940's.
Some people may find them a little cumbersome to wear but for total weather protection they can't be bettered.
