Hi,

I discovered among my late grandfather's collection two postcards from the "Series 18 Roller Derby". One of Gerry Murray, the other of Helen Gardner. I am curious - I have been looking everywhere online and cannot find what year Series 18 was, for one - so any help there would be recommend. They look like this, except mine says "Series 18":

Secondly, would he have to have seen the Roller Derby in person to have the cards? They're not signed. But I'm curious as to how he would've gotten them in likely the 50s or 60s (He died in 1975). Also, how big a fan would he have had to been to collect them?

All I can remember from my early childhood was a school friend who was a devoted fan of Skinny Minnie Miller.

I can still remember him talking about her, and the way he enthusiastically said her name.

Oddly, I cannot remember his name...

For a short time in the early 70s I really liked Roller Derby. Can't quite put my finger on the reason why! :D
