I'm trying to figure out the John B stetson connection to bourbon. I am unaware the he ever made spirits.
Is it because it is filtered through a Stetson?

It's probably like Bugatti bicycles and Borsalino perfume. Today, brands are often squeezed way above their actual potential.

PS: On Mojo blues bar in Copenhagen, (my) Stetson and Bourbon go beautifully hand in hand ... but that's quite another story, I guess

I've been to the front door of the Brass Rooster several times over the years, but it was always closed when I was there. Had to stand outside on the sidewalk and peer in like a stray cat sitting outside someone's kitchen door. Of course when I was there it was always late at night and I usually had been bar hopping down in Bayview. The folks at the Rooster probably wouldn't have wanted me in there, anyway...
