RMC Buco J-24 (New fit) sizing help

Hello guys! I’m planning to purchase my first double riders jacket and specifically looking at J-24 in a new fit. The problem is that I’m not sure about the size I should go with.

I don’t have any specialized stores in my country and if I order jacket from abroad I’ll have to pay almost half the price In taxes so I would like to avoid size exchange and get it right the first time.

I am 5’11, around 175 lbs and have a chest circumference of ~ 40 inches. “T-shirt” fit will not work out because it narrows significantly the range of situations where I can wear this jacket. I want to have an opportunity to wear sweatshirts or mid sweaters underneath with comfort. However, this doesn’t mean that I want to look like I’m wearing an oversized Italian jacket from 80s-90s. Just a nice slim fit, but not too tight.

I’m in between of size 40 and 42. My main concern is that, from what I saw in the photos online, the sleeves in 42 may be way too long for my height. I’ve heard that after creasing sleeves may become shorter but I doubt they will become that shorter. And having the sleeves ending on the palm of my hand is the last thing I want to have.

I’ll be grateful for any help with determining the right size.

P.S. If someone has a double riders Buco (not necessarily a J-24) in a nice condition, that he believes will work for me, I’ll be happy to consider your offerings.
