You can try and pull a Dick Tracy style bash where it's a bit lower at the back top lid as it tapers from the front down. I would just experiment with different types of bashes and pinch etc before you smoky on it.

Hello - forgive me if this has been posed before, I didnt see much along the lines in my search.

I love this lid, but shes just a bit too tall, is it possible to shrink only the crown down? Not even a lot, just a hair. Ive seen suggestions like wear it in the shower (for the steam?) or dunking it in water and blowdrying. Has anyone had any success? Thank

If you just wear it it'll grow on you. You'll begin to think anything shorter is too short. Most wool hats don't have more than 4.25" crowns which is not very tall.

I like to wet them with stiffener, shape wet, and wear them till they dry like a new pair of leather boots. The wind and sun outside will dry it in a couple of hours and it fit your head like you have worn it for years.
