Wooh! Just snagged a BNWT Mister Freedom shirt that retailed at about $300 for less than $50. The seller was selling it on behalf of her boyfriend; his loss, my gain.

You lucky ba***rd!

They weren't cuffed, and were much lighter than you'd think. I thought that they were some sort of jeans when I found them, but they were far lighter than modern jeans, and I've got no experience with vintage denim.

I've got three pairs of similar pants...one by KT&H and two by Cushman (Speedway Japan).

One can only imagine the treasures that lie within this magazine:

I just ordered all three issues of Mono Workwear from my local Japanese bookstore. I can't wait to finally check them out!

The first one is the best, third is the second best and two comes in last....a lot of seemingly weird and unrelated things in all three. Loads of pics borrowed from the Library of Congress digital archives.

Got a couple of cool things today. This is a denim work jacket by Martin + Osa, which is a store I never heard of until it was going out of business. I had friend pick this one up for me.

Yes, it has some "period" repairs on the cuffs ala RRL, but that doesn't bother me at all.

Their version of a donut wreath button. Not bad.

And then I got this fantastic sweatshirt from J Crew.

It looks like it should be a double V, but unfortunately it's not.

One problem that has been plaguing me in the summer months so far is keeping up the workwear look and not having my feet soaked in sweat clogging along in leather boots. today I found a cool shoe that fits the vintage workwear feel and breathes:

Also went over to J crew today in the Time Warner Building in NYC and they have some vintage sweatshirts for reasonable prices ($65). Very Mister Freedom'ish.

You could also do something like this, sailor style:

Those canvas-and-rubber boots remind me of the Israeli desert combat boots my brother picked up a few years back at the Army-Navy store.

I love that J Crew sweatshirt; methinks I'll cruise down to the outlet store and see if I can locate one.

I haven't seen that sweatshirt anywhere (not even online) other than the mall in NJ where I got it. They have a separate men's shop at that locaction. I'm sure the NYC stores would have them.
If you find any at an outlet let us know!

Thats funny that you mention that because they probably are. These boots were used by the French Foreign Legion and a friend of mine recognized them from when he would go hiking/camping in Israel.

For the record, the only thing even resembling workwear at the Birch Run, MI J. Crew outlet was a denim chinstrap shirt. Not surprising, but somewhat disappointing nonetheless.

I just can’t work up the excitement over chinstrap shirts that some of you do.
