Real HEROES of the Golden Age

Talk about uncork the testosterone. Between comments about “sissy actors” and chromosomal limitations to pointing out the great heroes of an era, there may be an effort by some to “go retro” in our social outlook as well. As a counter, I point to one of the great adventurers of the era, someone we also could all look to as a style icon.

I have to admit I've been ignoring that particular thread. I have an instinctive aversion to all talk of "real men". I associate the term with aggresive knuckleheads . Anyway, I'll vote for Amelia too.

I'm going to vote for Jackie Cochran.

Amelia... She was a pioneer, and I applaud her for taking on the challenges that she did in a time when it couldn't have been easy. Now, as a pilot, not so much. She made a foolish mistake and it cost her life.
