My wife and I are big fans of the new one, but of course prefer the old one!
Never understood the introduction of the old Mercury Marquis at the beginning of the series, if the character we see IS Steve McGarrett. Shouldn't he remember his old car???
Other than that, I agree that Grace Park is a nice view, but I enjoy the scenery more in HD.
That being said, the old series is in HD on Netflix. And I didn't think it was possible to improve the old series.

The Marquis is Steve McGarrett's Father's car. That's why it was brought up in the first episode. His father was killed and he goes to see the car in the garage for sentimental reasons.
