Ahhh! I just have to let off some steam. I just gave into curiosity and had a peak at my ex's girlfriends ebay history.... not something I usually do but i was bored. And guess what- she's been buying up everything I have previously bought- the Heartbreaker Superspy dress, the vintage heels, the vintage repro gyspy tops, the pencil skirts- all of it! I'm so p*ssed off and heres why...

She was my best freind who got together with my ex ahortly after he became my ex- which is a thing no girl should ever do to her best mate. She was never into a vintage or feminine stayle- she was a hippie rock chick with a straight-up-and-down rake-thin figure with short boyish hair and no make-up, jeans and T-shirt and clumpy boots- the least feminime woman I've ever known and suddenly she's vamping it up in wiggle dresses and petticoats- which would'nt get to me so much BUT for the fact that my ex hated that style on me when we were togther! (he likes boys)

I think my only comfort here is knowing that I look 10 times better than her as i have the figure for it and she'll probably just look like a fella in a dress (miow). I've had the same internet ID on everything i do for over 10 years so it would be really easy for her to cyber stalk me (even on here-yikes!) and the thought of it just makes me feel all freaked out...

Thanks for reading my rant (if you have) Just needed to get it out in the open.

No worries, i have been in the same boat myself, having a supposed bestie friend take up with an ex before the dust had even settled. Grrr. Unfortunately even those people closest to you, who you think would have your back don't always, it's a sad fact of life. Where is the solidarity amongst women is a question i have had to ask myself on a few occasions when stuff like this has happened to me in the past.

Very shoddy behaviour on her part methinks.

But then take comfort from the fact that what goes round comes round!

Wow, that is total bs. Guess ex-bf and ex-friend deserve each other. Blah blah, compliment she's trying to be you, etc - that isn't worth much at the moment I'm guessing. Yeah either way, better off without both of 'em.

I'm sorry darling,

Its understandable that you're upset. It probably means that she's not feeling secure in the relationship and thinks that you and he were closer, so she's trying to be you. Enjoy that fact. It means she feels you were more confident with yourself and more attractive ;)

I used to get a lot of abuse from the girl my ex cheated on me with and went on to get engaged to... At the time it hurt, but now I see it as jealousy and insecurity. I think you should view this case similarly. Sure, it's annoying when someone tries to 'steal' your individuality, but if she's not genuine then she'll never keep it up.

Next time, get a male best friend xx

Miss Kate is right, i think it's jealousy and insecurity, but still freakish behaviour nonetheless.

I second the suggestion about the male BF. I have gay BF now and couldn't be happier.

Thanks for your support everyone, I really needed it. It just raked up a lot of hurtful stuff from the past.. but there is one thing...

I doubt she'll ever be able to say that she got stopped in Paris wearing her superspy dress, by a famous french artist and told she looked 'perfect' ;)

You should think to yourself, "No matter what amount of red lipstick will she ever been anything close to me. She doesn't even stand a inch to me."
You're a doll and she's far from anything close! :)
