Interesting offering by Akubra. Too bad it's a western style body as it probably is the reason for the over $200 price. I can't help but think though at that price I'd be repeating that old ad "I could have had a V-8". For not much more money one could get a 100% beaver custom from one of our various resident lounge hatters.

Just out of curiosity, do any of our resident hatters offer a similar-quality 30% beaver-mix western hat in the Akubra 30X's $220 range?

The prices I've seen from various reputable hatters on their web sites are more like the $300+ range, for beaver-bunny-mix hats. I would not mind being wrong about that!
