If anyone is interested at all on a size 38 1966 peacoats in near mint condition please let me know. I can send more detailed pictures to you.
If you are asking about the CG patch, they are permanent, very permanent.Anyone successfully removed a patch from these peacoats?
Oh just saw one on eBay in great shape but has a patch. I can't wear that one as it stands so was curious if it may come off.If you are asking about the CG patch, they are permanent, very permanent.
Use a permanent sharpie and black it out. It’s about 1”x7/8” and kinda cool looking.Oh just saw one on eBay in great shape but has a patch. I can't wear that one as it stands so was curious if it may come off.
Excellent idea. The cool patch will still be there, but it will be subdued, as were all of my patches and badges when I was in.Use a permanent sharpie and black it out. It’s about 1”x7/8” and kinda cool looking.

Who says Marines aren't creative thinkers?
Sneakers provide a modern, fresh look. I like. them...personally. But I I do like my boots too. Also, just a suggestion. Lose the sneakers and get some boots. Any, really. Chukka, Chelsea, Thursday Captains
Sorry misunderstood your post. Pit to pit: 20" , collar to bottom: 30.5 , sleeve from shoulder seam: 24". Anything else you may want me to measure?I am interested. Please send basic measurements.

Don't get me wrong. I'll still throw on a pair of sneakers with my peacoat, but boots just polish the look. And with a pair of Chukkas, or the Thursdays, you can still cuff your Salvedge.Sneakers provide a modern, fresh look. I like. them...personally. But I I do like my boots too.
Looks to be a coveted 1949. Looks to be in nice shape and a reasonable price.Couldn't open the page. Will try later. What specifically do you want an opinion on?
285038712749 is the item number. I think using your guide I dated it to 1945? Condition looks okay from pic.Couldn't open the page. Will try later. What specifically do you want an opinion on?

Finally got it to open. This is advertised as a "WWII era." It isn't. It is a post war coat, probably barely Post War in 1945.Could I have your opinion on this coat:

Yea I was assuming it wasn't war time simply due to the buttons. From pics it looks well cared. Most other coats for sale currently in decent condition are $100+. Anyways thanks for chiming in.Finally got it to open. This is advertised as a "WWII era." It isn't. It is a post war coat, probably barely Post War in 1945.
