I went for a walk tonight in the 2004 DSCP pea coat, 46 XL, Sterlingwear. Torso was comfortable (warm) but arms felt cool. The sleeve opening is too wide as we know but I had gloves on (35 degrees). I compared the sleeves to the body of the coat. I could not feel the fleece lining in the sleeves, the lining which is in the body. Just the satin lining. Aargh! I would like this to be a true winter coat so I guess I will have the sleeves interlined with a wool or wool fleece layer. Unless I can persuade Spoon to sell me one of his 46L Kersey coats!
Actually if I can part with one I would just give it away. Let me run it by in my head. I need to figure out which one I could give away. I'm originally from The Bronx and Queens.

I would be honored to have a "Spooncoat". Which I would be pleased to buy, truly. Or make an appropriate donation to a charity if you like. This 46XL DCSP Melton coat fits me well, so presuming a 46 L Kersey would as well, just a little shorter. My XL is about 37 inches long. At 32 inches long the regular 46 is a little short on me, barely covers my rear, I have a long torso. Regards from the city!

I just need to look through and take measurements and write up a description. I'm thinking of a 1969 that I have. Will get back to you soon.

I recently came across a post-WWII U.S. Navy peacoat in my size (32) and @Peacoat encouraged me to purchase it. I'm so glad I did. Thank you, Peacoat!

I have several USN WWII peacoats but not post-WWII. Based on the inner tag, Peacoat estimates this one was manufactured between 1948-1950. Also, Peacoat was right about the lapels lying flat on postwar coats versus WWII.

USN peacoats in my size 32 are hard to find. I was fortunate to come across a WWII one awhile back. I also have a WWII peacoat in size 34, which is great for a looser fit or thick layers underneath.

As with all my USN peacoats, I had to get the sleeves shortened and the length shortened about two inches on my new-to-me peacoat. I wore it yesterday evening to a dinner outing. Wearing a piece of U.S. history makes me very happy! You can't see my other piece of history in the pic, but I was carrying a 1911 Illinois American Railroad pocket watch.

Wow, glad you could find another coat.
Much appreciated.
Snow started falling here at about 1:30, several hours ahead of forecast. We may indeed get 8-12 inches here. Perhaps you will get similar up the river.

Same measurements as the 2004 DSCP 46XL coat that I have. The sleeves were a little longer, I had them shortened about 1.5 inches. They are now the same length as your 1969 Kersey coats. The 2004 coat is very slightly longer, 36.7, measuring the back. May have stretched a little over time.

There are two concerns with this coat;
The sleeves were shortened a bit and were not done right. The second is it has a moth ball smell. Moth ball smell does go away. I would rather have that temporarily then permanent nibbles or holes. the coat is in very good shape. the sleeves are in decent shape. I can send you pictures.

I am sure it's fine. Moth ball smell not a concern, that airs out in a short time. Grateful that you are willing to part with the Kersey coat in our hard to find size!

If you want it you can have it. Would you pay for the shipping? It can't be too much. I live 61 miles north of the Bronx/ Westchester boarder.
