Thanks to this forum, I have obtained a lot of information about the make, style, history and care of men's hats. I wear one every day, except for those days I don't go outdoors (which I try to do every day). I'm on the hunt for a particular color/style presently, but that's for another thread.
Hatjacks, headband expanders, brushes, different straw types, and feathers have all been part of my education and acquisition sprees. The one thing I have not purchased is a steamer. Jiffy Steamers are mentioned by the cognoscenti here, but I've found them too costly and too bulky for my meager needs. When desperate, I've resorted to trying the steaming teapot solution. Usually inadequate.
However, today while birthday shopping for my daughter at Bed Bath & Beyond, I saw a display on Conair CompleteSteam travel steamers listing at $19.99, so I picked one up.
Boasting an 1100 watts of power, spill proof protection, high velocity continuous steam for up to five minutes, I figured, what can I lose?
Conair has it listed for $24.99 at their site, but the $19.99 is "regular price" at BB&B. If you're a member, it drops to $15.99. This may be old news to the old heads here, but for the hoi-polloi like myself, this could be a real game-changer!
