Garrett, were you ever able to make something from that old brown longhair Michigan hat we traded some years back? I can't remember what I named the file so can't find photos of it...

The felt is simultaneously dense and thin so I've kept the same bash and side curls (the Alan taco shell brim we've coined it). It does well as a travel / packable hat. Here it is without the curls:
