Garrett, Great hat! Super refurb work by Bob. The company creast is somewhat similar to JHS.

Glorious posts of late Garret. The pictured hat has a great stitched brim edge treatment. The stitches appear to be tightly spaced and well executed. What am I missing, I am not certain of the manufacturer of the above hat? What manufacturer is it?

Thanks, Eric -

Admittedly this one is a bit of a mystery. Both Bill and Josh owned this hat before it found its way to me and I'm not sure they were able to determine the manufacturer. I'm guessing it was a Hatco product made specifically for this shop. The heathered felt is top notch and can hold its own against similar models from the big brand names of the era. The Stetson Railbird was similar to the specs though I believe the railbird was a later model from Stetson.

Thanks. As you mention the railbird I see similarity in the felt and brim edge-not in the ribbon treatment. I hav a pic saved of Anthony's Railbird and your oatmeal hued Railbird. They have the felted ribbon. The label is very generic and does not push me in any manufacturer direction. Whatever the details, it is truly a special fedora. Thanks again.

Yes, that hat is wonderful. Spectacular heather felt. I found it in Milwaukee with several other heathers and long hairs. There wasn't any evidence pointing to who manufactured that hat.
