The interesting thing for me about any home dye job is will it run when you are in the rain? I alway wonder how stable dyes are. The photo looks great although I prefer the original Brooks brown.
Sure! Of course I had the same fear/doubt about "what if it get wet".
So, I sparge water on the jacket to simulate rain drops. And it seems the wax has made it's job very well. The water wasn't absorbed by the leather.
I do like the brown leather. And I felt a little sad for changing it's color. But I already have a brown one. When I saw how the dye turns out, I didn't regret of dyeing the jacket.
