Like a mid grey and a black - the interior pics always look more blue for some reason, but this isn’t accurate.

Brown Baby Borsalino 60. I have this one already, basically, in a 61, but the 61 is just a hair bigger than I prefer. The ribbon on this one is more narrow than on my 61.

This is hat #2 I recently got from @Bill Hughes. I posted the other one in the "wearing" thread.
I think this is probably my oldest Borsalino. This one is a 7 1/4 in American sizing, and I'm probably just on the high side of 7 3/8.
I bought this hat because I've been looking for ways to upgrade my vintage hat collection, and buying from Bill is a solid plan, provided you can wear his hats, in my humble opinion. Reason #2 is because I wanted an excuse to try and stretch one a little, and it worked well.
I put a hat jack in it, hit it with a little steam, tightened the jack up a little bit - a couple hours later, it fits me just fine. I was concerned about potential issues with distorting the crown or the brim, but I don't see anything I don't like. Let me know what you think.
I was expecting it to shrink right down as soon as I took it off the jack, but that was yesterday and so far it still fits.
Bill Hughes 7 1/4 Borsa - love a bound brim. The felt on these is lovely. It flips instantly to fully open crown and I can't stop fiddling with the bash.
You can tell I used a 2-way jack looking at this photo. This was taken right after I pulled it off the jack. I won't be using it again. The 4-way jacks are much better in my opinion.

New production Art Fawcett (that I bought from Marsha on eBay directly)
It's a 7.5, and it's just a smidge bigger than I would prefer, but still wearable without padding it out, and I couldn't resist. I may add a strip of cork to tighten it up a bit.

Long before Steven Spielberg was making films, Herbert Johnson was making hats. Before Raiders (over twenty years), they were reputed to make great hats. I think I have one from the late 1960's. Rabbit in a napped velour finish, the red label that reads "Made in Gr. Britain" seems to date from this time period. It has a 6cm brim and is easily shaped. It was shipped to me in a small box with a couple of sheets of paper towel and nothing more. It snapped back quite well.

Bought this little gem Wednesday night.... Fed Ex showed up with it 2-1/2 days later I was thrilled to get here so quick..
Kinda has a bowler-bashed-into-a-Gus-crease vibe going on. Supposed to be a vintage 20x hat. No markings on who made it and someone had sewn in a fabric sweatband. Ill sew in a nice lambskin sweat and fit a new liner. 2-1/2" brim/ 5" crown so its bigger than a bowler, still gives a bit of shade, all while being a modest sized hat. Fits great. Really nice old felt. Fun little lid. Someone put some effort into the brim curl

I got a new one in yesterday from our very own @Darrell2688 of ****** Hats.
I saw this one on his Instagram in a 7 1/4 and I asked him to make me one at 7 3/8 heavy, and he did a lovely job. Thank you Darrell.
The hat was immaculately packaged and shipped very fast with a few cool details in the box. Communication was excellent, and Darrell made sure that the proportions and shape were exactly what I wanted. the tall, straight crown and this color combo were what drew my eye to this hat, and I got exactly what I wanted.
I would say you can't go wrong with a ****** Hat.

Recent edition to the herd..(arrived last week same day as the Hyde park). A modern Miller Hats "Signature Collection" made in Huston? (evidently custom made as I can find no open crown stock hats with these dimensions, apparently at one time they did do some custom). This is not the Biltmore Miller Hats. Felt is very much like the Stetson Royal Deluxe in weight and hand. Wonderful true brown (does not show well here) rich color with a nice contrast to the trim (I added the wind cord). Hat evidently made open crown. Decent build and quality. Dimensions are wonderful at at a generous 6 1/4" open crown (5" front as creased) and a 3" brim!! Will have to wait until fall to get some head time......and it certainly will then.
On one of their history videos online they claim to be a direct descendant of Wormser Hats.

Again I have found the build quality comparable to most any modern production hat (BETTER than Hatco of the past 20 odd years). The felt is well pounced and has a great hand. Very pleased with it....dimensions are PERFECT for me (6"X3").
