I've posted my recent Facebook Market Place Borsalino finds, and my 3 newly aquired hats from Panos. Now, the first of the 3 new Daniele acquisitions.

A 1920s Antonin France. A classic hat of the period. Black, brim up, no pinches, a good deal of wool in the felt, and no liner as are most AF hats.

Wow! Daniele is responsible for enriching the collection of many of us with fantastic pieces! I used to be a no black hats guy until I fell into the prewar-dress-hats rabbit hole You may wish to post that one in that thread too. Congrats!

Peltrier of Bonneval, France woolfelt hat with backbow from the turn of the previous century. Size 55 (but I can just wear it) with the generous overwelt brim at 5cm and the crown at 11cm at the center dent. Seller wrote that he found it wrapped in a newspaper from 1899 (pity he didn't send that along). The felt is coarse, it doesn't want to hold a shape very well and the finishing materials are pedestrian to say the least. But as a survivor hat I think it's great and it shows the kind of hat likely worn by a majority of people.
The initials in the coat of arms are MJ it seems, but I can't think of a manufacturer with those initials.

Another find this week. Borsalino Amiata. Size 60 with the raw edge brim at 5cm an the crown at 11cm at the center dent. The label points towards 1977 for this one.

Another cheapo hat, but a hidden gem. Brasiliano in grey brown (can't tell you the colour name). Sold as a size 54, but turns out to fit me exactly, so in reality a size 56. Raw edge brim at 5cm and the crown at 10cm at the center dent. Weighs 98 grams.
So why a hidden gem? I found a Brasiliano hat before and it turned to be a Borsalino hat, branded that way likely to both corner the market and evade tariffs. This one has lost its label (the last sliver of it can be seen in the last pic), but it has all the hallmarks of a Borsalino. I'll take that for €3, thank you very much.

I believe the other Brasiliano you mentioned was the brown Homburg you sold me a while back.

Thanks, Steve. I think the Brasiliano brand was passed around somewhat. I have a black one in a tiny size that was made by Borsalino. I think the brown homburg you have was made by Cervo.

Didn't get to post this one yesterday due to technical difficulties.
Panizza Imperial Superfine in the colour Lapis. Stingy overwelt brim at 4,5cm (which is a bit narrow for my standards) and crown at 10cm at the center dent. Lovely lightweight hat at only 80 grams with a nice hand and a felt that does anything with no effort. The pinches show that slight angular crease of high quality felts.

Maybe I forgot some benevolent comment in my memory, I apologize and it's like it was here.
I sincerely thank you for your words for my "ability" to find interesting hats, but I warn you with some regret, they are increasingly rare at least here at the source of Italian production.
The hats that left for various parts of the world this fall are unique pieces, however I will continue the search, perhaps more calmly.
I also invite you to think intensely about those who do not have such common sizes, for example myself, like yours

I like the colors but it is definitely a stingy brim, if you don’t mind that. I’ve tried them but just don’t like the way they look on my head.
