My new Imperial grade Taupe Fawn CD arrived just before I left home to meet up with friends for a few days. Delivery in just 6 days from Katoomba, 8 days from order. Great service again from The Hattery/hatsdirect!

I wanted the look of a traditional OR/Cattleman with brim flanged up, in a color other than SB. I chose Taupe Fawn as recommended by other Loungers & because I didn't have a TFCD; if the Cattleman didn't work out for me I could always wear it with a fedora crease & not be duplicating something I already had. The color is absolutely beautiful & I'll have more to say with pics in the Gallery thread.

Before I left home for a few days I creased it by hand only & left it set with an old kitchen rolling pin for some weight in the center crease while I was gone.

When I got back home I decided I wanted to try the look of a more squared off brick crease & longer side dents. I may have the brick set a little too deep for my cranium but I'm going to try it for a wk or so before the verdict comes in.

Akubra Cattleman, Graphite Grey, arrived yesterday. I was busy studying for a test, so I waited until today as not to get distracted. It is slightly big, but the sizing tape has it fitting perfect. It is exactly as I had hoped.

Nice! You have far more disciplined than me. I'd be getting the hat ready to wear for the test, then study. I salute you, how did you do?

Just in case you're unfamiliar with Akubras, the more you wear it (specifically, the more you sweat in it) the better it will fit; more snug, and should conform to your head nicely. If it was only slightly too big out of the box, odds are you'll be removing that sizing tape soon. Great hat, and it suits you very well!
