you did a fantastic jobGot a package from Australia today! That's 3 hats in 2 weeks, I'll slow down now. This is the first open crown hat I've ever shaped. I think it turned out ok. I've got 2 other size 58 Akubra hats but this one is quite a bit larger. I had to shim it front and back.

"Mode" vielleicht?"Wiener ????", measures 54cm, no company mark, probably late 1940s early 1950s. This tiny gem came with a Hückel Hat Box I found. There are no company marks but the brown Velour is fantastic. You can see the nap shine at the crown back edge. I can't make out the word after Wiener ???? (Made?) so if you have any ideas please let me know.
Beautiful color Jack, I love that moonstone Akubra !!Moonstone Campdraft just arrived.
I had been thinking about an OR Cattleman style center crease with long side dents because I don't have one. I remember now why I personally don't have one! This hat will be getting a diamond or teardrop crease when I have more time.
I love the Moonstone color with CD specs.
Thats a dream hat there !!!! perfect,,,congrats Anthony !!!!my heart is pounding... because ...

Good eye! It does say Columbus right beneath. I hadn't done any research on it yet, but I wondered if it might've been Columbus, GA. That's much closer to here. Thanks for sharing that info.Lazarus? Probably originated in Columbus, OH.

I have a 3 piece suit from Lazarus, albeit late in their game I think. Still it's very nice quality goods. And dh66, I would be a 7.Lazarus was the flagship department store in Columbus for many years. They were eaten by Macy's many years ago.
Sent directly from my mind to yours.
Ryan I love mine! Not stiff at all.I hope im not disappointed in my Bluegrass CD thats on its way. Of course im new enough to this that I may not notice the difference.

So cool Michael,My new to me Royal Stetson Whippet arrived today. Of course I was so excited that I forgot to take pictures of the poor thing as it came. It was thoroughly disheveled and looked like it had been sleeping under a pile clothes for a few years. A nice coating of dust too. Fortunately a quick brush and a bit of steam brought it back to a mostly undented state.

I have a poor partial picture of the label,

Even though the sweatband is unusually supple I didn't want to push my luck and the label was behind not only the sweat, but the liner too.
The size tag was easier.
