Brims go up and down depending on how you like it and want to wear it. I believe the hat would look better with less crown drop from front to back. The back of the crown can be raised up a bit.
Oh, okay. The rake was not intentional. I was trying to add a little height to the crown with the new crease and, as I posted upthread, it took on this shape almost immediately; by far the easiest crease I've ever done. For a change I "listened to the hat" when it became clear that this was the shape it wanted, and it fit so well when I tried it on that I thought it best to leave well enough alone. As the saying goes, "The enemy of good is better". I might try to re-shape it again in the future, but for now I like it.

It's clear to me that you have good taste in hats (or that our tastes are similar), and that you know what works and what doesn't, so I sincerely appreciate your opinions!

The mature blonde in the beard will ensure no one confuses you with a hipster. OTOH, a variety of brims, crowns, and materials seem to be the mark of a man who knows it's the man who makes the hat.

Besides that, it looks good on you.
"Mature blonde". Ha! No need to be shy with me my friend, I'm a graybeard and proud of it! And thank you!

I guess you're getting there. :)

Mature blonde is a term I coined a while back. Feel free to use it at will. No royalties involved.
