Except that I'm concerned that your Fed IV is actually bringing on the bad weather. It knows it will get more head time.

Exceptional hat... but do take a look at what "asco" means in Spanish...

That is fantastic! It translates to "disgust". Absolutely hilarious.
I wonder if it sold to the Spanish speaking population as well as the Chevy Nova.

I edited this post to add some better shots on my lunch break. This is "The Polar" by Adam.
I'm having a difficult time capturing the color of the felt. The first shot is the most accurate. It captures the green. Depending on lighting, the hat can appear khakier.
I tried to find ads for it on the internets to try to nail down its age. No luck. Although, it looks like Adam was selling "hats of the month" during the forties and early fifties. Those that I have seen were all named "The 'something'" I can see this being offered as a late fall or winter Hat of the Month. Likewise, the material and labels lead my gut to think that this is from that period. Anyone have any ideas?
I Had Bond put a new ribbon on it. The original, wide one was a mess.
Groovy, fuzzy hat with nice thick felt and what I think is a nifty brim treatment.

Ok. Crown as creased is a little over 5 1/4 front raking down to a little over 4 1/4 rear. Open crown height abt 6 1/2. Brim is 3 inches.

Thx. According to Major Mike the fur felt is 100% wild hare. I believe its western weight.

If I could find a 4+" brim with a 5" open crown I would make a replica of a Planters hat to wear to living history events. Maybe the Bushman is something to look for?
I LOVE this hat!!!!!!!!!

There's alot more hrs in the day... Yes, thanks. Im gonna do the tightie on the pinch and sink down the center in between said pinches. And...send it out to reflange the brim as well as finish it to match the ribbon. Its to dense and stiff to overwelt and I'm gonna brim it down from 3 to 2 and 5/8th or maybe 2 and 1/2.
