1955 Stetson Imperial

I decided to post this Imperial which I recently acquired because it is in such great shape and it has a date stamp of Dec 20, 1955 which doesn't happen very often. It has a 2 1/4" mode edge brim and 4 3/4" crown as creased.

Congrats Joao, sharp hat!
Jao, very nice!
Joao, Fantastic Stetson Nutria Western! Congrats!
Good finds Joao and Alan
Thank you all :)

Wish I could say it was magic, but it is simple. The number on the orange reorder tag is usually also stamped on the back of the sweatband in small numbers.
Why they did that?

+1, Joao. I like the crown the way it is on you, but agree with Alan about the brim.
I'll try that.

Great Western Joao. Your hat is from Douglas Wyoming, home of the largest Jackalope and the Jackalope Festival.
That I didn't know. Thank you :)

Joao, I like that crown, but look forward to seeing what you sort out next week.
Maybe flatting the brim and add a horsehair hatband.

Picked this beauty up at the Jazz Age Lawn Party this past weekend. 1940's? Mallory in practically mint condition. I had been wanting another grey fedora, but what sold me on this one was the green band.

Late 40's at the earliest. Its post Stetson buyout of Mallory (Aug 1946). With the silver paper size tag I'd say early 50's or later.

Akubra Fed arrived at the weekend and I've finally been able to start putting in the bash:

I'm really liking the Tawny Fawn colour.

Looks great. You have better luck/skill than me as far as getting the center dent in. My head always ends up poking the center dent and turning it into a tear drop. I have several Fed IV and the Tawny Fawn is my favorite color as well.
