brim 2 1/4'', crown front 4'' side4 3/4'' back 3 3/4'',ribbon 1 1/2''
not the dimensions i would normaly go for but it did look great when i tried it on..a short while back
He said its beaver it feels soft & fuzzy & still makes that sound when you rub/drag fingers tightly around brim...like a vintage hat does.
I dont want to get Taco Sauce on this one.....

For some reason, I am now really thinking that a lighter colored hat might work. Dont know that it would go with suits all that much, but tooling around Memphis in April and May, 60's to mid 70's, would be cool.

Nice Longley B, ditto the Panizza Che, have fun with the new tool too. Looks like the top needs to be chopped and some lacquer applied :)

It's never too early for a nice Monte David.

Congrats on your first Bowler Mike, I'm not there yet so respect the bravery.

Steve, the Peschel looks like a fine fur coat, magnificent!

Here's a new-to-me Straoliner in a light gray. 5-1/2" crown and 2-1/2" brim. No mothing or stains and appears to have been worn very little. I'm mulling over what bash to use.

Beaver Brand OR-style

I picked this up from ebay a few weeks ago. I already posted a pic from the original listing, but here are some more shots before I send it off for some modifications. It's a 7 1/4, but it clearly fits like a 7 3/8, if not larger. Waaaaaay to big for me, even with padding. The next set of pics will be posted in the "Conversion Corral" thread, probably after Christmas. I'm going to size it down (including the brim), add a wider binding, wider ribbon, and re-block it with a taller crown. While I'm at it, I will probably get a new leather sweatband. Faux leather cheapies make my head sweat!
