Hückel (Weilheim) Chevreau, size 58cm, green. It's mid 1950s and with little to no wear and has the original paper sales tag. The felt color and finish (Antilope like) are fantastic. Also great overall construction and detail work .

Man I'm a total sucker for a plain, brown hat of immaculate quality and soft, round lines. That Hückel is as nice a hat as one would ever hope to own and could be worn almost anywhere, for any occasion. Beauty.

Dermotta Wien Homburg

Dermotta Wien Homburg, size 58cm, gray. The seller and original owner are the same as the Hückel (Weilheim) Chevreau with a date stamp of 12/55. This is a high quality hat with a very nice felt (other colors mixed with the gray) and finish. Also in excellent condition.

Hi

Ordered one, they have a 5.5 inch open crown and a 4 inch brim. They have Chocolate, Silverbelly, Silvermist, and another color (Brain Fart). I ordered one in Silverbelly. I hope they look like the ones they have online for $360 and up (way up). According to
http://www.canadiancowboy.com/hats.html
20x is 75% beaver felt. Sounds too good to be TRUE.

later

I can tell you this -- mine has a price sticker inside that says $449. It was initially a little tight, but the more I wear it, the better it feels.

Also the bow with the "Borsalino" is current. Maybe you can post more photos on the Borsalino thread. It would be interesting to see the paper label and how the liner is attached.

Great to see a Belgian hat company. Do you know anything about Elebaut? Is that the original crease? My guess is later 1960s.

Elebout hat store is situated in a little town called Oudenaarde.
They started selling hats & caps from 1911 until this day!
Today still selling hats, but also Men"s fashion wear and underwear.
Im not sure if they made the hats & caps by themselves, maybe in the early days.

The crease is done bij myself right upon arrival.

This was the original crease:

Elegant & Leger German or Austrian black (with some other colors mixed in) Back Bow Velour. The Velour is thick & plush with a wide over welt. There is no paper label or company marks but possible this one is from around WWI.
