Very nice JT!
.
Won this vintage '30s spiral-stiched British fedora ('The Stadium' model for 'Dunn & Co.') for a good enough price:

Finally received it in the mail yesterday. Turns out there's a size label inside: a British size 7, or U.S. size 7 1/8. I've stretched it to a U.S. size 7 1/4.
The hat is very dingy: the original color was a light heathery grey with beige accents, believe it or not. I'll soak it in naphtha soon.

Similar to what Stetson was making here under the name Plastifelt. I am sure it will clean up nicely.![]()
Hope so ... except that my British one is made of fur felt, not plastic. If only it would clean up that nicely!
Great hat, Cheptsow! I really like the tyrolean-ish upkick to the back brim.
Very nice! It's fun to get these Borso boxes, but a shame the hats sat in there for decades. It takes a toll. I have one of those Balbis with the very narrow edge binding - 3mm... amazing that it can be sewn and the reveal be so even all around.
