Great looking hat. This hat was generously gifted to me by Daniele @Daniele Tanto. So a big thank you goes to Verona for this one. Funny thing is I've never seen a Fléchet homburg before. Apparently not a model they saw as a market for them. They probably should have though, because it's a very fine quality hat.
Fléchet qualité superieure homburg in dark brown. Size 56 with the bound brim at 6cm and the crown at 11cm at the center dent. Liner used to have a cellophane covering as there are traces of it left on the liner. Nice hand to the felt, but it takes a bit of work to shape it.
You know it's going to be a good day when a package arrives from everyone's favourite Dutchman.

Their arrival was a real cheering up shot in the arm after having broken my wrist a week ago.

Thanks BobOh man … sorry about the break. The hats will help with the healing, I’m sure of it.
Thanks Stefan. So happy with them, and they're much better than eggsGood to see they made it in time as a little basket of easter eggs you won't have to look for.
I can see why you were like a dog with a bone on that one, Stefan. It's a beauty! It took a while to get hold of this one. Seller wouldn't budge on the price even though at didn't sell several times. Somewhere along the way it got a hold on me though. Daniele @Daniele Tanto was the middle man for this one, as he often is. So, thank you, Daniele.
Barbisio Lontra Visone longhair finish hat in Sesia colour. Overwelt brim at 6cm and the crown at 11cm at the center dent. So is it otter (lontra) with a mink (visone) finish or vice versa? Don't know, but whatever it is, the feel of the felt is incredible. Super soft hand and shapes without any effort. Only thing I can say about it really is that it seems to have shrunk a smidge over the years (or at least the sweatband has), so it shows a bit a gaptooth there. Nobody's perfect. It's a superb bit of hat history and skill. And it has the Barbisio shark gill bow. Nobody does them better.
You know it's going to be a good day when a package arrives from everyone's favourite Dutchman.
