Ah is that so? Great info thanks. I was talking to Stefan about it and we didn't know if it was under license because of the european sizetag. Any idea of the age?

Dobbs Golden Coach homburg size 7 1/4 (58cm) long oval. The model name is Sulgrave. This is a medium proportioned hat. The felt is nicer and thinner than I was expecting from this era.

Barbizona! The color fits, the quality a bonus.
1/2" brim 2" black ribbon. dark olive brown. The green is very evident but the darkness and brownness keep it from veering into St Patrick's Day territory.

The couple of moth bites I was worried about are barely there. The felt's rubbed away at the very front/peak of the crown, again only slightly. Gave it a good brushing, what little dust was on it came right off . I took care of a couple of white marks on the front of the ribbon with a kneaded eraser.

I cut out the celluloid/plastic tip protector. A greasy mess as usual. So the top of my head's bumping virgin satin.

That's a winged lion rampant on a shield, and "Beaver Blend" underneath.
Sing it with me..."Born in Arizona, moved to Barbizona.."

Finally got around to the pics of the recent finds. First one.

Barbisio Titan Chamois in the colour Muschio (moss). Size 57 with the bound brim at 5,5cm and the crown at 11,5cm at the center dent. As usual with these Barbisio titan hats, the hand of the felt is wonderful.

Second one.

Battersby bowler in black. Size 58 (7 1/8 English), but it seems a bit smaller than that. Great smooth finish to the felt, so it's a fur felt one. Feels lighter than it actually is at 144 grams. Difficult to date this one, but based on liner, tight brim curl and sweat I'd say forties, late thirties maybe. This one was used as a riding hat at one point: there was a ribbon in the box it came in and on both sides of the sweatband some stitches have been cut to accommodate it.

Third.
Dobbs Twenty in the colour Neptune (a dark blue). Size 60 (7 1/2 American) with the curled brim at 6cm (not counting the curl) and the crown at 11cm at the center dent. Made under license in Germany. Probably dates from the sixties. Aside from a few small scuffs (two on the undersie of the brim and one at the pinch) it's in excellent condition and hand of the felt is beautiful. Nice shape and colour too.

Tanaro backbow fedora in light grey. Size 56 with the raw edge brim at 5,5cm and the crown at 11cm at the center dent. Medium tier hat and most likely, judging by the size label, it was made by Cervo.
