I'm going to reblock this new to me Resistol San Antonio. Wish me luck. This is the same one from the other day, I just don't like the shape of the crown.

Well, re-blocked the Resistol San Antonio and found some other goodies under the hood. Now it sits a bit higher and is not touching my hair. It feels great! It has some waving around the crown, but I need a block to smooth them out. I'll get to it later[emoji275][emoji106]

I found some cool information stickers, including the Union label. I'm trying to find some more information so I can get a ballpark figure as to age. Posted some other stuff to see if you gents can help[emoji106]

It looks like it may have been a Homburg originally, and converted to a fedora. Your thoughts?

Like I said, I bought it from Scott aka @bond. He does some conversions of both westerns and homburgs. He did not list this as a homburg conversion and the felt is pretty stiff. So I always thought it was a western conversion. But yes the brim binding does cause a person to think.

The transatlantic hat-exchange (one of them) has awarded me with this one. Royal Stetson de Luxe Flagship in a size 7. Overwelt and triple stitched brim at 7cm and crown 11cm at the center dent. You don't want a hat like this, so if you have any in a size 7 just send them to me
While having somewhat western sensibility with its substantial crown and wider brim this is still very much a dress hat. The felt is not stiff at all, certainly not on the crown, and is easily shaped. Nice hand to the felt as well. Usually I don't care much for petersham ribbon on my hats, but it's not a mismatch on this one for some reason.
I owe a huge thank you to Mark @M Hatman, who was generous and kind enough to let it go.
As the English say: chuffed to bits!

There is such a thing as a Christmas miracle: I bought a green hat I like
To be honest it was sold to me as a size 58 or 59 and I thought I could easily pass it on to Max, who seems to be fond of them (they go well with the colour of his golf course). Turns out it is a roomy size 55 in fact, so it fits me well enough and it has some serious redeeming qualities to it.
Brummel's fedora in green (yes, really). Size 55, with the Cavanagh edge brim at a good 6,5cm and the crown at 10cm at the center dent. It is unlined and has a flamboyant flange to the brim, which gives it a certain "bohemian" style. Very lightweight at only 89 grams and the hand of the felt is gorgeous. I'm thinking late forties to early fifties.

Hatsanta saw fit to include an additional hat to accompany the Stetson Flagship on its journey across the ocean. And what a passenger it was! A huge thank you again to @M Hatman for sending me this one as an extra hat in the transatlantic hat-exchange: a total surprise but an extremely pleasant one.
Borsalino Torino in black. Size 57 with the felted edge brim at 5,5cm and the crown at 10cm at the center dent. Made especially for Maurice Rothschild&Co. Very lightweight at 89 grams and exquisitely soft. The hand of the felt is awesome.

Excellent find, Steve. The different colour is very nice. I have one with a thin ribbon, but no cord on that one. The total package on this one is great.

Mark, Thanks! I was lucky with this one because it's marked 57cm but measures a large 58cm.

Stefan, I checked and both of mine and the ribbons are ~ .5 inches.

Oviatt Model made in Italy. I just found out from the tags it's a Barbisio. I thought it would be a Borsalino. Dense, beautiful, thin felt.
