Richie Ramone in an off-uniform cafe racer, possibly a Schott 141 judging by the collar.

I really don't know. That sounds super lame to me if they do, though. Like something you'd buy at some fast fashion place at the mall.

They do, yeah. So that you can “see the evolution of the raw edge of the leather where the belt and epaulette are cut off”. That’s me recalling from memory but I think close to verbatim.

Alas, Instagram-targeting brands are beyond parody.
Fine Creek is also quite popular in Japan as well, I think because it's heavily pushed by Lightning Magazine, and also one of their former Editor-in-Chief pretty much exclusively wears Fine Creek/High Large/etc.

The brand rides almost exclusively on hype lol

I believe you, but it almost sounds like you're joking. Personally, I hate epaulets, but cutting them off before the jacket is even sold.......cringe.
Behold the Fine Creek Leon. It can be yours for just $2k.

"This is Fine Creek Leathers' take on the classic double riders jacket with the epaulets and belt loops cut off. The way the edges of the cut off horsehide age with time is truly beautiful."

I don't get it. If you don't like a belt and epaulets, don't buy a motorcycle jacket. Buy an aviator instead.

But why on earth also have the bottom of the press stud there on the shoulder where the epaulette no longer attaches?

That's not going to "age beautifully".

That's just mental.

This model is a "reproduction" of vinvage brando jackets, which pre-owners cut off the epaulettes and the belt.
That's why studs remain on the shoulders on purpose.
Thanks to lightning magazine, it seems to gain some popularity in Japan, though it's not my thing...

This is honestly enough to turn me off of Fine Creek, and up until now I had been seriously considering one of there Richmond jackets. Them cutting off epaulets just saved me a ton of money, so I guess I should be happy they do it.

So I got to thinkin . . . I often come across photos of cool jackets owned by others, and I struggle to find an appropriate thread to post the photos. Sometimes there is a brand specific thread, but other times there is not. Sometimes I am forced to start a thread for a particular jacket, solely to share the photo, even though the photo probably does not warrant a thread of its own. So, I figured its time that we have a depository for all the random photos we come across depicting cool jackets that we would like to share with our TFL brothers and sisters, so that we don't have countless individual threads for individual jacket photos. In other words, we should have a jacket porn thread (I elected to exercise a modicum of decorum and leave "porn" off the thread title).

Here are a few random photos I came across today:

Here's a jacket I saw outside of a Trader Joe's here in North Hollywood. I snapped this pic right before the pandemic, so it's impossible to know where Mr. Unstoppable is nowadays. I like to think that he rode his bike all the way to the Moon and beyond.
