Good question. There is one on EBay now that the seller says is cowhide.

Nice bunch of jackets! The brown one looks to have a Los Angeles Sportogs label. Ball and chain zippers, I don't see buttons that often, just an interesting style of Jacket.

I don't much about Becks MC jackets. I like the chin strap on that collar. Are these jackets from the late 40s? 50s?

Terry I'm no expert but if I recall what I've seen of the style before correctly that Beck might even be as old as 1939. Better students of vintage jackets may well correct me though!

According to the Rin Tanaka book, the Becks 333 appeared in 1941.
The similar Leathertogs D pocket started earlier in the late 30s.

actually really like that for some reason, i would’ve bought it at the clearing level. reluctant to jump down the ebay monitoring rabbit hole though!

Thanks Carlos, it was the Leathertogs I was thinking of. I always have to chuckle when I hear the name, when I was a kid 'togs' was a local term for swimming trunks!

Apparel Annex, now defunct company that produced some interesting m/c styles in the 70's and 80's operating out of Portland OR. I'm not sure how I feel about this jacket but I've been tempted to pull the trigger on more than one from this maker.

Love this! Reminds me a bit of that Vanson cop jacket I almost bought. Seems like a really nice pattern, whoever designed the jacket has obviously ridden a motorcycle and that pocket config would be handy on the road.
