@JMax. I am really trying to fight the urge to get a new Langlitz. You are not helping much (or maybe you are) lol.
That’s a rare bird and nice find Gamma. It’s about as pristine condition as i’ve ever seen. Most are pretty sad shape. That price seems extremely good. And i thought my orange one was cool! LolJust returned from a vacation in northern Michigan. During my trip, I saw this in an antique shop. Presumably goatskin. Electrically heated (although I'm not sure I'd try plugging it in). I never knew such a flight suit existed:

Cal-Leather. A modern one, padded with loops for Sam Browne belt. Owned by the architect Peter Marino.

Beautiful. Now I need a padded Cal.
How would you compare modern versus vintage?
Well, I noticed there are plenty details which help to establish a period, e.g: the stitching drawing, the belt area thickness, zippers (of course!), lappels shape, the point where collar snaps are placed, the maker label (if it still exists), the kind of leather, even the epaulettes shape.
I don't know if there are differences in Langlitz, Vanson, Aero or Schott on jackets from different periods. Do their patterns have changed over the years?
