That kind of confirms my perception then.

While the workwear trend is definitely past its peak the western/cowboy theme is still somewhat “in” and that is an area where RRL (used to) put out interesting pieces. Oh well… plenty of choice elsewhere too.

Back in the 80s there was a place similar in Melrose Blvd. I used to go there to see cool jackets. The average price was over 1k. Most likely all were found for cheap. This was also the story of a famous furniture store called Arte de Mexico. Low price items sold for a bundle to the willing buyer.

That might have been Leathers & Treasures. Back in the late 80s that place was so cool! I mean they had the walls covered in Perfectos painted and studded. If you saw a great jacket at a club, it was purchased (or copied) from there.

Going to be impossible to confirm, but it definitely doesn't look like a Brooks. Brooks never had a label with that shape and size. I've also never seen a cross zip of theirs that had snaps on the inside for a collar and the zippers and chest pocket placement are all wrong for a Brooks. To me it looks like the second HD jacket I posted, but very possible that I'm wrong.
