@Marc mndt Totally agree. I wanted to buy one last year, however it was sold out and after one year waiting I had an opportunity to buy one and went for a Field Leathers jacket what I don't regret. Another reason was that my wife thinks that this one looks too similar to my Bill Kelso Aeronaut Victory Horsehide...perhaps I'll give it another try in one year but most likely not.

Funny, yesterday I visited a vintage clothing / military store and found a really cool naval coat. I was about to buy it but decided to take a picture and send it to my girlfriend. Her reaction: "you have enough nice blue coats already." Of course I could name 10 things in which this jacket was different from the ones I have. Eventually when I got home I was glad I didn't buy it, thanks to my gf. Sometimes we need our gf / wife to temper our enthousiasm.
Still, that yofukuten jacket looks amazing. The collar is totally different from the Aeronaut

I actually like the little belt, but I’d want it fully removable, and sleeve straps to match. This jacket is a bit of a Harrington mish-mash, no?

Elements, though it's morel ike some of the other Baracuta designs than the G9 (the original Harrington). Not a bad design, though to my eye the proportions are off - it looks a good three inches or so too long. I think that beltg would be under my hips rather than anywhere close to my natural waist.

I just saw this linen jacket clearly styled after a 20s-30s leather cossack. All BK controversy aside, it looks like it would work nicely in the tropics.

It's certianly a nice idea for seasons when it's just too warm for leather. I've often toyed with the idea of having a preferred maker do me a cotton-canvas jacket in a halfbelt style. I'm pretty bloody-minded, but I don't have the resistance to the heat I had when I was younger (also, living in the South of England, I'm in a much hotter climate now). From Aero, a black canvas-denim Original 59er Highwayman would be a very cool Summer jacket. Maybe a canvas Shackleton. I've also (having proven the practicality of the overall design on trips overseas) considered trying one of the cotton Wested Indy jackets for Summer wear, especially if I could order the sleeves unlined.

I've got this lightweight cowleather / cotton reversible halfbelt which works great for spring temperatures (too cold for winter, too hot for summer)

Ah, well - 10 Celsius is my fantasy Summer. I do remember, growing up in Northern Ireland in the 70s and eighties, that a Summer day going over 21 was a huge deal. I've spent time in Beijing when it hit forty degrees, and that was madness... everything I drank soaked straight into my tongue, and I coldn't wait to get back to the hotel and the aircon! I certainly wouldn't survive an Australian Summer, though if ever I made it down there I can imagine it beingl ike my past trip to India - it was February 2013; the locals were all in Winter coats and I was wearing linen and a straw hat! Course, 'Winter' in that part of India is in the region of 30 Celsius every day, which I found draining.

Yes, no lining (other than perhapns in the facing to support an inside pocket) - something more flexible than a denim jacket.

Before realizing that “47 Columbia” was a different thing, I was always looking for a “Columbia with a pocket seam line”.
Much better looking jacket than a standard Columbia jacket IMO.
