Walking to my truck in ankle deep water, I decided the threats of rain apparently were not exaggerated and the Akubra Bushman was a good choice for Tuesday. These pics were actually taken about an hour later when I got home.

I like the curl of that brim. Well done sir.

Just in from a brief shower in a Steele & Jones INDY.

A light shower to & from this morning, on the Akubra Cattleman.

During thunderstorms I have an outside drain that has been plugging up this yr, necessitating me to go outside & unplug it. I've come to the conclusion tree roots must have gotten into the line. One of my Akubra Woomeras again drew the duty. Sorry for the low lighting but it was late & I only had one table lamp turned on.

be careful of random drain work, never touch the damn things if you have a cut or abrasion. A mate lost his leg after getting an infection. Cleared the drain, went into a coma an hour later. Some rodent thing or something. I'd say he was lucky to have survived but the experience turned him into a cranky fecker.

Nawww, that was the Pied Piper of Hamelin. St. Patrick banished snakes from Ireland; a rather easy task since there were no snakes in Ireland in his day.
