Philosophical: The meaning of life

I really like vanilla.

The flavor? If so, I agree. Have always been a fan. I enjoy chocolate, too, but think I'm an outlier, as the world could probably be divided into chocolate lovers vs. vanilla / butterscotch lovers.

Sure, many people claim to like both, but when the first warm day rolls around and the Good Humor truck rolls up - most people will consistently order one flavor or the other.

At least, I'm luckily strong-minded and not in danger to become a chocoholic or things like that...

von Hildebrand's estimate as to the meaning of life is that preternatural inheritance through conception bequeaths philosophic eros writ in the Platonic Dialogues,
Augustine, Thomas Aquinas, and Descartes as a sparkling jewel that can illumine life, or be discarded alltogether; yet is nevertheless capable of scaling truth to attain knowledge of God.

How about a cappuccino or viennese coffee.....the best of both worlds. :)

If I am going to ponder the meaning of life, my purpose on this giant globe in an even more giant universe or why pizza taste so incredibly good, I'm going with an Irish coffee so that everything I say and think will seem that much smarter to me. :)

Do you really want to know why we were put here on this Earth?

I believe man was created by a Supreme Being whose planned ultimate destiny for His creation is revealed in sacred scripture.
Man may chose to ignore Holy Writ but he cannot escape either his mortal or eternal fate; sealed within said and testified by an ordered
universe from the highest corona down to microbial mitosis.:)

Jeff Samardzija, San Francisco Giants pitcher, ex-Chicago Cub, ex-White Sox shaved his ERA down from 4.96 to 3.81 after a colossal meltdown free agency gone-to-his-head season. The resiliency of the human spirit exemplified.:) Theo Epstein offered a one-year contract after da Melt which he declined and was eventually signed by the Giants.
Wish he had opted for the Cubs' purgatorial bullpen.
