Hello! Im looking for a perfecto style leather jacket on a budget... im a size 32 chest and cant find any used ones online anywhere in my small size so im looking for a good perfecto style that i can buy for around $350~ any help is much appreciated!
Have you considered Wested? No doubt their jackets aren't built as tough as proper moto jackets, but they have the look for a VERY reasonable price. I've had one of their Raiders jackets for a dozen years and love it.
Also, you may want to check out Japanese Yahoo Auctions. Tons smaller numbers there so I think you just may find what you're looking for, at around your budget (or less): http://auctions.search.yahoo.co.jp
Just that I've no idea how to look for Perfectos in general, other than searching for brand names? Anyone?
I'd suggest a used Schott: in those small sizes, there are bargains to be had on ebay. I also wouldn't be leery of Pakistani-made jackets, thought those can be hit and miss so best handled. I bought a great cheapy years ago on ebay for about a hundred bucks... new. I think the seller was called sonething like "leather paradise".
If you are located in the U.S.A., be aware that many motorcycle supply stores, such as Cycle Gear, carry various Pakistani-made Perfecto styled jackets at very affordable prices. I know individuals who own them and they state the jackets are pretty durable.
I walked the Santa Monica Place mall today with my wife and daughter . . . . Perfecto style jackets are the predominate style this season . . . . almost every store we perused had its own variation.
Yeah, but from the looks of these, I doubt that the mall ones are intended to last much longer than one season. Did you notice how the mall Perfectos almost never have a bi-swing back? I wonder why... Anyway, I'm hoping the OP would prefer something a bit more durable.
