Cherrybomb, I hope it isn't me that you've sent the bathing suit pattern out to, because I haven't received it. [huh] So hopefully it hasn't got lost in the mail.
I've traced out the skirt pattern you requested but I've yet to copy the instructions, the sheet is so big! Could you do without it?

Lady Day- Great hat!! I bought all the felt to make the hat in the main picture and then just never got around to doing it... *shrugs* oh well! One of these days...

Shrinking Violet- you were on the list of people to get the pattern, but I believe I sent it to someone else first... I'll post that list when I find it...

I make custom wedding dresses as well as reconstruction and/or reproduction vintage dresses. Lately there has been a trend of 30's and 40's dresses coming through our door. One of my girls came in a few weeks ago with an amazing dress. She needed it completely reconstructed. I managed to save one of the sleeves of the dress and trace a pattern from it. I know it isn't much to offer up in the pattern swap, but it's a gorgeous sleeve when put together. It's a leg-o-mutton sleeve, completely gathered in large pleats along the shoulder seam and at the top of the inset. It has a delicate point at the wrist and fastens around the wrist with a single snap. The sleeve would fit in any basic inset shoulder pattern.

Patterns for Swapping!

I love this idea! I'm offering up for Swap two of my newest patterns, and a new DuBarry Fashion Preview from 1940 that I got the other day. it's really darling.

I'll be picking up another roll of pattern tracing paper this weekend and should be able to have stuff in the mail to people next week.

Please PM me if you're interested in anything!

Thanks!

This one is really cute, bra will probably have to be altered as it's really small. I love it, I've made like four already.

LexmarkAIOScan28.jpg

This is adorable. I think I'm going to make it next.

LexmarkAIOScan27.jpg

This isn't a pattern, but it's really darn cute and needs to be shared!
I'll post more soon!

Oh, I just love your patterns DimeADanceQueen. Everybody else has some great ones too. (Hits head and repeats, no more patterns until you finish the 4 garments that are cut out and waiting, sigh).

:arated: I second that, I would love to have a dress from that pattern. Anyone up for making me one:D

I also love the lingerie patterns. I think I'm gonna try my luck at making some of those. I don't know enough about patterns, but tap pants seem a bit easier than the Vogue dress pattern I bought. But, what do I know:(

Since this pattern is just one sheet I happily trace it for whoever is interested. Be aware that the waistband for skirt 1 is missing though (but I´m sure it can be easily replaced) :)

Are you *serious*? Pattern-Swap? Fedora Lounge, where have you been all my life?!?

The only vintage pattern I have is a boy's three piece suit from the 30s. Sadly, it's not in the best of condition. I made a copy, but I could send the original for those who are better at making copies than I.

I have to find it and show it to you all! Lady Day, those *pants*. I must have those pants.

:D

Well I can not find the thread that I was talking to some of you other ladies so since this is also about patterns I will try here.

I had asked how I should divide a lot a patterns I had recently purchsed. just wanted to tell you all that I followed you advise and I worked out better then I had ever expected! I sold every one. From your suggestion i turned a $2.00 investment into a $205.00 profit. And to think I was just going to lump them into one big lot. Thanks allot!!!!!

Patterns to Lend But the Pictures Won't Cooperate

Hey Gals,
I have three Hat Patterns and a Sunsuit pattern to lend out. I thought I'd better get them out there before we move, I'm afraid all my stuff will go to storage then who knows when they'll show up. My problem... I just can't figure out how to post the pix!! Is anyone willing to post them for me? I can email pictures but when it comes to all that other rig-a-ma-roll ftp stuff I'm at a loss.
Here are my email addresses OHHats@aol.com and Smurph2@aol.com
Hope someone can help..
Thanks,
Susan M

Early 30s and 20s patterns, 44-46 bust!

I am seeing an awful lot of 50s stuff here, so I imagine my patterns will be popular!
I have lots. I will be scanning covers this week to put them up.
One think I don't have and desperately need is a pattern for an early 30s coat - the kind that wraps to one side with a huge fur collar and interesting sleeve action between the elbow and the wrist. Lady Day, may I copy yours? I saw it on some thread recently but can't locate it...
I was gifted with a huge box of patterns recently, and I will be putting all the 50s, 60s and 70s ones on Ebay as I have no interest in those eras. But before I do, I will post the 50s ones here and if anyone wants them they can let me know - I really don't have to make money on them, and they were given to me with the request that they get used, so I am happy to give them away to interested Fedora Dames.
But not the 20s-30s ones! Those I will share but not sell.
Watch this space for further developments...

Here's the pattern pics!

OK, I did some scanning of my 30s and one 20s... If anyone would like to borrow, here is how I would like to do it:
1. I will make a copy on thick paper of the actual pieces, with markings, and a copy of the packaging and instructions too. This will force me to cut my muslin at the same time (but please give me a couple of weeks after requesting to get it to you)! I will probably sell each of these on Ebay to recoup my time costs later. So if you really, really want the real one, let me know, we can talk.
2. First come, first serve. PM me if you want one of these, and please include your name, address, phone number and real email. I will respond and give you my contact info too.
3. I would suggest only keeping a pattern for two weeks to allow others to get them too, but if you have extenuating circumstances let me know.
So! Here we go...

#4401, Early 30s dress and jacket pattern with contrasting yoke and lapels/cuffs. 46 bust.

#3463, Late 20s/early 30s pajamas with Russian closing blouse, 42 bust.

#5235, Late 20s dress and jacket "Larger Hip Pattern", 45 bust.

4315, Mid to late 20s dress with skirt ruffle, 36 bust.

#828, Early 30s afternoon dress with lace revers, 48 bust.

l_9f83803afaf085a1fbaceae2637abbab.jpg

#4728, Mid 30s dress with asymmetrical neckline, bust 48.

l_56342be8b3808d007cbfe95a47bdc83a.jpg

#3512, Early 30s dress with collar and deco hip seams, bust 46.

l_130c97794df84291068a20d09866641c.jpg

I have many, many more but can't commit to more copying than this right away!

I will also try to scan some 50s patterns which will be giveaways, soon,. I don't have a scanner right now so have to do them at work, and the scanner there is tedious.
