Parting ways with your Vanson Enfield? WTB 40-42

Hello all. I’m on the hunt for a used (even beat up but functional) black Vanson Enfield size 42. If anyone is willing to part ways with their Enfield and hopes it to be well loved for the long haul then please let me know. Anything close to an Enfield may be a possibility but a collar is a must.
Wishing you and yours good health in these wild times. -Ben aka new guy feverishly trying to find an Enfield

Any interest in an Vanson AR2? Obviously a different collar, but a very similar jacket overall. I have a size 42, sized on the small end, which would work for you.

Only selling because I my motorcycle closet is already full with a Vanson V7, a Vanson Sportrider, a Lewis Super Phantom, a Schott/Legendary Black Horse, a Klim Induction, and a bunch of Aerostich suits...

Let me know if interested.

Thanks for the reply but the collar is must for me. I probably should have specified that much in the original post. I appreciate the photo as I’m a pretty lanky 6’1” so now I’m thinking a 40 maybe too small even though I’m aware it’s probably less than an inch in length between the sizes. -Ben

If you're open to a cross zip bike style, I'd consider moving my vintage Vanson Bandit 42. Chrome hardware, no epaulettes, just a classic biker jacket.

Came across a great deal this aero https://www.ebay.com/itm/274175302665
Hadn’t put much thought into an Aero but this has me thinking. Wondering if this purchase will fill the void of an Enfield or if I should just keep my fingers crossed. Being that I’m from MA is tough to not want to go with the Vanson.

I’m the type of guy that continues to wear the same Chuck Taylor’s until they become totally impractical. Meanwhile I have a fresh pair that I can’t be bothered with.
I have a feeling I would just stare in awe at a new Enfield and never wear it and turn around and sell it here just to do the dance all over again.

You’ll probably end up buying a Highwayman at some point anyway, so you might as well buy that one. Welcome to the road... to penury. I started off telling myself I’d only buy one jacket and wear it for life, now I’m afraid to count how many I have, but it’s somewhere over twenty, which is a small number compared to some people on here. I’m still tempted all the time as well. I have to take it one day at a time.
The Enfield’s a great jacket though, they come up every once in a while on the bay or here, try to get one of the older comp weight ones.

I’ve made it to the 20 jackets and up club a few years back and then went through a major purge and have managed to keep it together since then for the most part. I’m telling myself that this Enfield is gonna be all I need. The only jacket that really has me rubber necking is that Cheyenne that’s listed here in FL. Really Wish those had side pockets.

Regarding the Vanson, that's a "model A" which also has a longer back than front, designed for Motorcyling, but also makes the whole jacket a bit awkward to wear. Vanson calls it: "Dipped back and kidney panel for secure windtight fit" I owned one for a year or so back in 2014 - and sold it off. Not really to my taste overall.

So the Enfield is $551 currently for a brand-new compettion wieght, get the size you like. Those Leather-lined pockets are calling you here! :) Seriously one of the best features of that jacket. https://vansonleathers.com/mens-lea...-jacket-B.html?search_query=ENFIELD&results=4

What type of break in time could one realistically expect for a non rider? Do you catch my post above about my disdain for all things new?
