Spring and fall for me, both are usually nicer weather where I live. Summer (except this year) is usually cold and foggy. Winter is good too, for the heavier felts.

I prefer summer (because there's baseball), but it is easier to dress nicer in the cooler months. Could do without the very cold times we get here in January and February, though.

I tend to wear hats as the weather warrants. If it is cool/cold or looks like rain/snow I won't hesitate to grab my wide-brim fedora. My main predicament is which coat to wear with which hat. I have a beautiful, classic trench coat, but it is too over-the-top to match it with my Borsalino (usually I go with one of my berets). I have a beauty of a knee-length great coat that I'll wear any hat with. And then there are my leather jackets. Choices, choices, choices.

Anything but summer! Hot humid weather is for the birds, imho.
My reaction too . . . especially since "summer" lasts for 9 months around here, March to (usually) November. I too am looking forward to, say, early December, when I may be able to wear my better clothes, topcoat or jacket, felt hats, etc.

It "may" be cold enough by early Dec.; no guarantees. We've had 85-degree days on Christmas, and the occasional cold snap in early April. When temps thud down into the 50s, people here grouse, "It's cold!" To which I reply, "There's this new technology; it's in all the stores now. It's called coats and jackets."

Why do you say this? I know that Borsalino is a brand, rather than a style, but wouldn't a classic trench coat look good with a classic trilby/fedora?

My charcoal gray '60s Borsalino "Savoy" just arrived back from an upsizing from Art Fawcett; so I'm ready for cooler temps! (Actually been ready since, oh, May. But now I have a goal rather than merely a dream.)
