I wasn't intending to win the thing but it does seem that this little victory has done a lot to take the sting out of the French Rejection.
I do hope I didn't take it from a Lounger whose screen name on GW resembles his...

My daughter sent me this photo of an auction hat I had shipped to her house (she wanted to repurpose the box for a Christmas gift).

At first I was thinking “WTF Auction-House-Shipper?” and then I remembered how the hat looked on the auction.

Also … the shipping was inexpensive, so “no harm, no foul”.

Almost forgot to post this. Been looking at offerings of these little hat shop items before. This time I thought "why not?".

I don't normally shop anywhere but eBay, but I visited Etsy today and found this Borsalino for $56 and the Barbisio for $46.

I know next to nothing about Italian hats, but I knew enough not to waste time asking the Lounge if these were good deals. The Barbisio looks to me like it might be a 40s hat.

Now I just have to wait 2-6 weeks for these things to ship from Europe (it looks like maybe they are shipping from Greece).

BTW, this seller has a few other hats for sale at a killer price. I couldn't afford to take all the ones that fit me. Here is another one I considered grabbing up but maybe someone else here with a small head wants it:
