Wow. Show hat, maybe?

Sent directly from my mind to yours.

Is it deer season again, already?

I thought it might be for a College Football Team , Orange ~ UT (University of Texas ~ Hook Em) or Red ~ UO (University of Oklahoma ~ Sooners) . They go crazy down here . Especially Homecoming . Orange everywhere . UT Vols

I'm in! Love to see how those things actual work!!
These clips show up in early century hat images. Crowd scenes are a good study. They basically pinch the center dent crease together for a fashion look. Not a functional purpose as I can see. The picture below is the model for my Olcott Homburg. The guy has his hat clip in, kind of hard to see, but the image shows how the center dent is pulled together. I want to do this out of pure history geekyness.

Well, I went ahead and ordered the box of hat crease clips. They are coming from the island of Cypress (shipping was kind of a shock) so I have no idea when they will arrive. There are 36 in the box, so plenty to go around. The guy listed them as "1960s", but we all know otherwise.

More later when they arrive. I have a couple of hats that I'm going all 1915ish on. This should be fun!

NOW ON ETSY! NEVER LOSE YOUR CREASE AGAIN!
I believe Bob/Navarre (Black Sheep) and Josh/Joshbru3 bought some of these. Notice the clip on the right has the word "Dermotta". Dermotta Wien was a Austrian hat company. The guy that is selling them also posted here a while back.

I actually have 2 hats that came with similar clips and a couple that had them at one time.

I remember seeing these, I notice they are also a advertising venue. I wonder if shops gave them out as premiums.

Mike, I am sure that is highly possible. I have come across some ads for them in "Deutsche Hutmacher-Zeitung" (German Hat Maker News). Others (Bill/Buler) have found them in "The American Hatter".

Here are posts from when Josh purchased some clips from the same seller. I also had a discussion with the seller but I can't remember if it was on this forum.

Here is Bob's (Black Sheep Hat Works) post. Bob also purchased clips from the same seller.

This C. G. Wilke "Bürstel Electra" had a crease clip at one time.
