Very cool, Josh! Now all of your hats will have a perfect crease!
B
Thanks, Bill!
My OCD is thanking these clips already. LOL
I seriously can't believe I just bought this.....a NOS box of 24 hat crease clips. I didn't know stuff like this still existed. I have only seen these hat clips in Vintage American Hatter publications and several posted by Steve in the German/Austrian hat thread.

They are coming from Cyprus, so it might be a couple weeks before they clear customs. I am really excited to see these in person!
Fantastic! Dermotta is Dermotta Wien.

It will be interesting to see the other company names.
I just received a German hat with a German Crease Clip!

Thanks! Again a fantastic find! I am very much looking forward to their arrival. Dermotta was actually an Austrian company. My guess is that a hat shop order these and had some made with hat company names on them. The clip that I posted above (also my other one) is most likely from Germany because it has the DRGM (Deutsches Reichsgebrauchsmuster) mark.Fantastic info, Steve!! Thanks! I didn't even notice the "Dermotta" name on the clips until you pointed it out. I have admired these clips since I saw your posts years ago, and I had hoped to find one. It was shocking to me that I would actually find 24 of them. They have had quite a voyage.....made in England.......for a German hatmaker.....somehow wound up in Cyprus....and now are on their way to the USA. If only they could talk.
Did you get the O'Farrells?
Did you get the O'Farrells?
The leather banded one is from "The Man's Hat Shop" in Alburquerque,N.M. creation (I just discovered).
I was trying to ascertain the value so I called 'em up. I was told they would take a Stetson or Resistol capline and build a hat you your specs.
I have never heard of a hat shop working quite that way, maybe it's easier than saying just saying "Winchester felt in TN." as I guess that is the same felt Hatco. uses.
That's what I "heard..."Pretty sure Hatco makes their own felt.
