Yes, he has done several for me. I am a 58.5, with these bumps on my forehead. If he conforms them, they fit perfectly. Otherwise, I feel a pressure on my forehead that gives me a headache.

What I'm asking is, when/if he resizes an unreeded sweat, does he have the capability to return it to it's true installation? It's not so easy to put the spacers in, etc. when they're installed w/o a reed. Or if he resizes an unreeded from, say size 7 1/8 to your 58.5, is he replacing the entire sweatband? If you have pix of one, that would be great. I'm genuinely curious.

When he resizes to a larger size, he adds a piece of leather to the sweatband, but keeps the original. I know that Bowen asked me the same questions, and asked for a picture of the sewing machine he uses.
Ignacio takes the unreeded sweatband off (most unreeded sweatbands are missing many stitches anyway), reblocks the hat, sews the same sweatband with the extra piece of leather by hand with a few stiches just to keep the sweatband in place, goes to his back room, and returns with the sweatband machine-sewed in place to the felt.
Ignacio says that he doesn't have a machine "with two threads" that can sew the sweatband on to the felt the way it was sewn originally. He just sews the sweatband on to the felt in a single line.

Yeah, i was trying to figure out if Iggy had the machine to re-sew non-reeded sweatbands back in. If so he would truly be magic!!

The stiching goes all the way through. He says his father had one of the old sewing machines when he was a boy, and he knows how to operate it, but there aren't any sewing machines like that anymore.

At least you're able to keep the old sweats, if not the workmanship.

Aha! Maybe that will be a new mission for the board: find the antique sewing machine!
