Yep. It became part of granddads collection. I don’t know why he feels the need to lie about the provenance.

Far from pristine, and not much chance it’s a 7 3/4, but I couldn’t say no.

And it comes with its “Original Dobbs box.”

Very nice Croydon with a super cool ribbon/pug at a too good to pass up price... thanks for the heads up @DaveProc... It Has almost a Musketeer vibe to it. Really looking forward to checking this one out.... along with whatevertheheckthatis with it.

Probably the latter, Joe. If it isn't an American made hat it's more likely to be German than English.

I don’t have that kind of luck...but then there was that Borsalino with a hand printed 7 7/8 size that turned out to be accurate and with the normal Borsalino sizing quirks it fit me perfectly.

Those Royal Stetson DeLuxe hats (vs Royal Deluxe Stetsons) get me every time!

Ignacio would flip it inside out to hide that moth bite, but I don’t know that he could open it up from 6 3/4 to a 7 3/4 without turning it into a stingy brim!

Very nice liner on that one. I couldn’t find anything on the company either. Maybe some sort of a house brand.

I’m getting a bit of a Lee Hats vibe on mine.
