This was a new brand to me. At my request, the seller found the size label under the sweatband. I knew it was a 1:1000 chance it would be my size, but I had to ask. Anyone looking for a topper?

Working as a doorman. Pulling a rabbit out of a hat on amateur standup night. Paint it green for Saint Patrick's Day. What made you go for this one, Max?Just bought this today. 1940s Larry Cunningham. Richie's brother, maybe?
Never saw this brand before. Maybe Anthony Amodeo, Alan Friedman, or someone else has?
Now there’s as nice a 3X LD as you’ll find!
Very nice. And looks like an early one at that.

Love the hat!
I think we associate the liner fold on the right rather than at the top with the earliest models. In my opinion you can safely say it is probably a ‘46 hat, ‘48 at the latest.
Later models often have the fold in the top center of the liner (post ‘46) an oilskin liner protector (‘48-52), followed by plastic (‘52+).
None of these rules are perfect, as there was plenty of overlap in dates, etc.
Maybe someone has more specifics?
